The music finally stopped around 1am last night and we got some rest. We thought sleeping by the town square seemed convenient - but it seems like it never is :). I went out and picked up an apple and cherry strudel to start our day. After checking out, we walked down to the Gyor train station and caught our train to Vienna. We arrived in Vienna 1.5 hours later. It was strange - our arrival. There was no one around. Usually when we arrive by train to a major destination, there are people everywhere, at least waiting for their train, if not trying to put us backpackers, into their accommodations. It was nice to have the station to ourselves :). |

Our objective for today was to experience the Hungarian thermal baths that everyone keeps talking about. We've seen baths all over the place and even this small city of Gyor has their own. These "baths" are really just a lot of different temperature pools that are made up of mineral water. We're not really sure where this mineral water comes from, but its not like it's coming out of the ground into the pool or anything. |

Another morning at Leo Panzio hotel in downtown Budapest. Unfortunately, the air conditioner started loudly squeaking around 4am, so much that it greatly disturbed our sleep. Always seems to be something disturbing our sleep :). I was happy to have my 3rd day of having cereal for breakfast (too many omelettes in the past 180 days :). We checked out at 9:45am, and headed to the train station. |
