What? No trip to Ybor City? - Written by: Ted Schrader
Hey Mario and Jamie,

It seems like another lifetime since the Tampa days. Good to see you stayed in Hong Kong for a couple days; I'll have to read more about your trip to see if you made it down to Stanley, where I stayed for a month.

On your second world tour are you going to hit Australia and NZ?

Reading about your adventures has been amazing!! We missed reading most of June (we were traveling ourselves) ~ so we have a little reading to catch up on. Glad that you will be home soon so we can hang out and talk about your journey.

M & J, Though this is temporarily your last day, the adventure never stops. Your travels will change how you see even the smallest details of everyday life. Congratulations you two!

Junior and Jaimie,

How will I start my days now without yur blog to read?

We'd love to have you stop in while you're in NY state. We are quiet AND we have AC -- not that we've needed it yet this summer.

Thanks for sharing you adventures!

Those horses looked beautiful. One of my favorite Disney movies was about the Lippizanner stallions. Glad you got to see them.

Hi guys! Thanks for the in depth history, especially the part about the Jewish extermination in WWII. My grandfather was born in Vienna and fled to Paris when he was 16. His entire family stayed behind and were all murdered. After the war was over, and he couldn't find any of them, he came to Philadelphia. It is so interesting to see your pictures and hear your stories. One day Brendan and I will travel there to reconnect with my roots. Enjoy the rest of Vienna! Miss you guys! It was great seeing you at our wedding :)

Jaimie and Mario, I am sad that your trip is winding down. I am a faithful reader, so hopefully you will write a book. Of course I also follow the Cal and Indy web site. This trip has been amazing, we can't wait to see you sometime, sorry we will miss you at the lake. Love Aunt Gail

Day 152 - Stockholm and wrapping up Sweden

Another crowded buffet breakfast with the masses of people staying at our hotel, and we were ready to begin our day.  We gave Ulf a call to let him know we were leaving the hotel around 10am, a little later than we had been planning for.  We opted to take the subway up to central station in order to save time, but it turns out we might as well have walked there, because we still missed the 10:10am train leaving for Uppsala (4th largest city in Sweden).

Day 151 - Stockholm

Rain, sun, and more rain.  That was today's theme.   We recovered from our jet lag pretty fast, and were up at 8 for a free buffet.  It was packed - the hotel has 153 rooms, and it looked like everyone was down at breakfast.   At least it was good :).   As Jaimie mentioned yesterday, we ran into a pair of Brits at the Ice Bar the previous night and at the Pelikaan the night before that.  We laughed, and wondered if we would see them at breakfast, as it was so packed.  Of course, we did.  We walked over and told them our plans for the day to make sure we were doing the same thing :0.  Strange :).

Day 150 - Stockholm
Written by Jaimie
Thursday, 25 May 2006

We had one of our most relaxing mornings in a long time, as we skipped breakfast and slept in very late.  Even though we knew this would be cutting into our touring time, it was well needed.  We got up in time for lunch and decided to try out a little cafe we had seen across the street from our hotel.  It had "Bagerl" in the name, and so we figured it might have bagels, but it turned out to be more like bread.  The cafe had some amazing looking desserts though.  We ended up with a small sandwich and some bread to hold us over for a few hours.
