We're Back!

Our week in the states went very fast.  We raced around seeing family, and of course, spending time with Brendan and Danielle to ensure a great ceremony.  In case you weren't aware, I was the officiant (yes, Reverend Mario), at B&D's wedding!   Officiating a close friend's wedding was something I was wanting to do for a long time - and it was a huge honor (and fun) to be able to marry Brendan and Danielle - surprisingly - I wasn't nervous at all!

We had one of our most relaxing mornings in a long time, as we skipped breakfast and slept in very late.  Even though we knew this would be cutting into our touring time, it was well needed.  We got up in time for lunch and decided to try out a little cafe we had seen across the street from our hotel.  It had "Bagerl" in the name, and so we figured it might have bagels, but it turned out to be more like bread.  The cafe had some amazing looking desserts though.  We ended up with a small sandwich and some bread to hold us over for a few hours.

Rain, sun, and more rain.  That was today's theme.   We recovered from our jet lag pretty fast, and were up at 8 for a free buffet.  It was packed - the hotel has 153 rooms, and it looked like everyone was down at breakfast.   At least it was good :).   As Jaimie mentioned yesterday, we ran into a pair of Brits at the Ice Bar the previous night and at the Pelikaan the night before that.  We laughed, and wondered if we would see them at breakfast, as it was so packed.  Of course, we did.  We walked over and told them our plans for the day to make sure we were doing the same thing :0.  Strange :).

Another crowded buffet breakfast with the masses of people staying at our hotel, and we were ready to begin our day.  We gave Ulf a call to let him know we were leaving the hotel around 10am, a little later than we had been planning for.  We opted to take the subway up to central station in order to save time, but it turns out we might as well have walked there, because we still missed the 10:10am train leaving for Uppsala (4th largest city in Sweden).
