We had only a short time left in Vietnam before we had to catch our flight. We decided we'd better have a traditional Vietnamese breakfast this morning, instead of the over-easy eggs we'd been being served at the hotel. It's funny - the 1st morning, we asked for an omelette, and got over-easy. The 2nd morning, we asked for scambled (who could not know what that is?). We still got over-easy. Today we went outside to the street corner at had some Pho (noodle-soup). It was delicious, especially with some red chili peppers :) |

We were up and out of the hotel at 8:30am this morning. For our breakfast stop (we blame this on the bad influence from our new visitors), we had McDonalds. McDonalds did have some interesting editions to the menu - elbow noodles with ham and a side of corn, for breakfast. We decided to stick with the normal egg McMuffins :) |

A slow start today, as it was raining outside. The funny thing about the rain here is that it's like Seattle's, in the sense that it downpours then drizzles and repeats the cycle forever :). Well, not knowing this, we were trying to "wait it out" in the beginning, but after a few cycles, we decided to head out to pick up our passports with our Chinese visa over at the Chinese consulate. |

We woke up to a partly cloudy day today - the best sky coverage we have had so far in Hong Kong! We decided we'd better take the opportunity while we had it to go up to the top of the peak overlooking the city. It had been cloudy and rainy all week, with no sight of the peak. We got up extra early and met downstairs at 8am. No breakfast for us, as we were hoping to be able to have something to eat while we overlooked the view of the city below. |
