Last night was another restless night, which consisted of Mario repeatedly getting up to try to get the air conditioner to work better. It seemes there were no labels on any of the buttons and so he tried a bunch of different combinations before he finally found the one that would keep the air relatively cool. |

Ahhhhhhhhhh - that's the best way to describe a good night's sleep after 3 horrible ones!! We liked it so much, that we took it easy this morning, and snoozed until 8:30 am. Last night, we asked the hotel manager if it was safe to walk to Casco Viejo, or "Old Part" of Panama. He looked as if we were crazy, but then realized we were talking about the next morning. |

Another great night sleep and we are off to view, often referred to as one of the 7 wonders of the modern world. We caught a taxi and for $5, he brought us to the Miraflores Locks, the set of locks closest to Panama City and the first locks that boats go through when they are coming in from the Pacific. |

Thursday was a good day with some bad mixed in the middle :) We awoke at 4 am and left for the airport - hoping we were going to find a spot on one of the 6:30 am planes that was leaving for the Island Archipaelgo of Bocas del Toro - on the western Atlantic/Caribbean side of Panama. When we got to the airport, we found out that both airlines were sold out! So we waited for 1.5 hours while people checked in, and got lucky - some people didn't show up for the flight - so we were on! |

Another amazing day in Bocas del Toro...We woke up to a beautiful blue sky with very little clouds and calm seagreen waters. I have to say thanks to Dani and Neal for recommending this place! |
